Hey mate, unfortunately, I do not have the Acer XF270HUA anymore - So I cannot guarantee yet :O I quit my full time job and will work soon 3 days a week so I can work 2 days a week on lims cave (:
While i play cs go or wow/dota 2 / diablo 3 the monitor is flawless but when i play pubg i do notice some weird image "issues" it almost feelshausmeister wrote: ↑15 Jul 2017, 10:31You are right that it is not bad. I had them both hooked up (but due to space issues not directly next to each other)
Coming from a monitor that old I thought it would still be an improvement. Guess I will have to stick to quality IPS panels.
I could not find the sweet spot where the whole screen looked ok. If I look at it form the bottom up it looks better, but directly from the middle I still see the bootm third as washed out
I would think this as normal on TN, but not VA.
Probably an issue with grey or muted colors I think. Something BF and CS and other shooters have in common. Disappointing on a gaming monitor.
Other games were good, One that disappointed me was sublevel Zero. Its a combination of very dark + very bright (neon) Colors, but it did not look impressive on the Samsung. I was hoping this would be good to show the high contrast.
I think you are right that one can get used to it, but why pay 800€ for a downgrade
I payed 1k for the NEC back then, but I also have had it for 10 years now. I wanted something new but it seems I am not missing out on much. In that regard an expensive display is not really a bad investment. I think I will look more in the (non gaming) 4K direction.Your review is really spot onlim wrote: In my opinion the Acer XF270HUA (27 Inches). But it is IPS vs VA so that some ppl will prefer the Samsung over the Acer. Mouse for CS GO the Acer also is a better choice (better response times and no smearing). In addition, the Acer is better for color accuracy and editing.
